Welcome to the

Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

The Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is the administrative headquarters for the Seventh-day Adventist Church
in the eastern two-thirds of Texas. It is our mission to empower members, pastors, churches, and schools in our territory to share
the gospel message with their friends and communities.

Year-end Message from Carlos Craig
11/11/2014

As 2014 draws to a close, we pause to reflect upon the goodness and bountiful graces of God upon each one of us and this Conference! We have been blessed beyond measure! Closing in on 53,000 members, close to a 5% tithe increase and over 2,000 baptisms yet again, all we can do is simply gaze heavenward and say: “Blessed be the Name of the Lord!” Yet, there is no time to bask in His blessing, there is so much to be done in so little time. We recall the words of God’s servant, Ellen White when she wrote: “The things we (Church) fail to do in times of peace and prosperity, we will be forced to accomplish in times of conflict and adversity.” (paraphrased) For the second year in a row now, a half a million new residents have streamed into the State of Texas. The 2,000 plus baptisms seam awfully meager in comparison. But the Great Commission found in Matthew 28 does not state the baptisms are the top priority in sharing Good News of the Gospel! If I am reading it right, it states that “making disciples” (of Christ) is the first objective, and baptism comes second, and then teaching them to observe all things comes naturally. My dear fellow believers in Christ, 2015 affords us the wonderful opportunity to simply “let our light shine”, and be ambassadors for heaven in any and every way possible! Let us stand up and be counted, not so much for the books and registers of the Texas Conference, but more importantly on the active rosters of heaven! What a time! What an opportunity! What a time to be in Christ!
