The Texas Conference Treasurer is the chief financial officer of the Conference, its subsidiaries and owned institutions. He is responsible for all financial affairs that affect the Texas Conference. Among many duties, he carries out the financial directives of the Constituency as represented by the Executive Committee; the responsibility in directing the proper use of God’s holy tithes, and our member generous offerings judiciously, appropriately as possible. He is also responsible for the preparation of the annual budget and presentation of financial statements.  He also serves as the office manager.

Edwin Romero was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala in 1973. He comes from a pastoral family and grew up in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He became a literature evangelist at the young age of seven, earning five full scholarships to pay for his school. He earned his bachelors and masters in business administration at Southwestern Adventist University. Edwin  has served the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the area of finances at Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Forth Worth, Texas and previously served in the Texas Conference as an accountant, assistant treasurer and associate treasurer before accepting an invitation to serve as Arkansas/Louisiana Conference Treasurer in 2005. In 2007, while serving as a conference treasurer in the Arkansas/Louisiana Conference, he was commissioned into ministry. Edwin is married to Benjalina, who also comes from a pastoral family, and they have two daughters, Marlett and Dalena.
