Hispanic Ministries

The Lord has truly smiled upon the Hispanic & Brazilian Work here in the territory of the Texas Conference. During the past 10 years or so, the Hispanic & Brazilian membership has mushroomed from 12,000 to 21,000. At present, it is the largest Hispanic/Brazilian membership of any Conference in the North American Division. Evangelism continues to be the focus and mission of our churches. Currently, there are 98 Spanish speaking and 2 Portuguese speaking congregations in our Conference. In the coming years we will earnestly seek to reach the 3rd and 4th Generation Hispanics who are growing in numbers in the state of Texas.

Message from the Vice President

Thirty-two percent of the population here in Texas is Hispanic, and half of all Hispanics that live in the United States reside in only two states, Texas and California. Therein lies the tremendous challenge that we embrace as Seventh-day Adventists in the Texas Conference. “Go to the highways and byways and invite them to come in…” as it states in Matthew chapter twenty-two. With humble hearts and open arms we step forward to say, “Here am I, send me…”

Mensaje del Vice Presidente

Con gozo y entusiasmo visualizamos la tarea que el Señor ha encomendado a su pueblo a realizar en éste gran estado y Conferencia. Miles y miles de almas están esperando escuchar las buenas nuevas del Evangelio de Paz. ¿Quién irá si no somos nosotros? El ministerio hispano desea no solamente llevar un mensaje que eleva, sino uno que también pueda sanar almas y consolar corazones. La población hispana crece todos los días en nuestro estado, y debemos mirar al cielo y solicitar la bendición de Dios al emprender ésta gran misión.
